Christmas Light Installation in Waterloo, Illinois
An old county seat with a real square, ringed by subdivisions that keep arriving. Both halves of Waterloo light up well, differently.
Monroe County’s old center
Waterloo is the Monroe County seat, and the blocks around the courthouse square still carry the town’s oldest housing — brick and frame homes with tall narrow windows, deep porches and steep, simple gable roofs. It is genuinely handsome architecture and it does not need much: a traced roofline, a lit porch and a wreath at the door, all in one warm white, and the house looks like it did the year it was built with better wiring.
The edges of town are a different era. Waterloo has grown steadily as a bedroom community for the south metro, and the newer subdivisions carry the same two-story, multi-gable fronts you find on the O’Fallon and Shiloh side. Those take more planning and more linear feet.
Why distance is not a problem
Waterloo is a straight run down Route 3 and Route 158 from the rest of our Illinois routes, and we schedule Monroe County together so a service call does not turn into a week of waiting. Install happens in October and November, the display is maintained all season, and takedown and storage happen in January.
Serving Waterloo, Columbia and the Monroe County side alongside the rest of the Metro East. Free quote from the address, and an honest answer if we think the house needs less than you were about to buy.
Call early if you want a particular install date rather than whatever is left at the end of November.
