Pacific sits tucked under the pale silica bluffs west of Eureka, on the old Route 66 alignment. It is a small town with a real main street, older housing on the streets off it, and newer building spreading toward the interstate. The bluffs behind town give the place a backdrop nothing else around here has.

The housing near the centre is older and wants the careful treatment — clips only, warm white, porches and trim traced rather than covered. Newer building on the edges takes the crisp-white gable-by-gable approach. We quote both the same way: measured on site, one written number, nothing hidden.

Main-street frontage is installed outside trading hours and timed so it is lit every evening. Takedown in January and labeled storage are included in the price.
