Christmas Light Installation in Spanish Lake

Deep post-war lots under mature oaks, north of the city where the streets still have room to breathe.

Room, and trees that earned it

Spanish Lake was built when North County had land to spare, and it shows in the lots — wide frontages, deep back yards, and oaks that have been standing since before the subdivisions arrived. The houses are mostly solid post-war brick and frame, long and low, with rooflines that run straight for forty feet at a stretch.

That is the easiest kind of roofline to light and the hardest to fake. A long level run shows every inconsistency in spacing, so we cut each length on site to the actual eave rather than stretching a stock string and hoping. The oaks matter too: a properly wrapped trunk in a Spanish Lake front yard does more for the house than another run across the roof would.

What works here

  • One level run, corner to corner — ranch rooflines live or die on even spacing
  • The entry lit — so the front door reads from the street on a wide lot
  • Netting across the bed line — finishes the front without cluttering it
  • A wrapped tree in the yard — the single best value on a post-war lot
  • Timers set once — it runs itself from Thanksgiving to New Year
A forty-foot eave shows every crooked clip. That is why we measure.

Businesses along Bellefontaine Road and Parker get the same treatment, installed outside trading hours and run on timers. Takedown in January and labeled storage are part of the price either way.
