Christmas Light Installation in Edwardsville, Illinois

Tall Victorian fronts near Main Street, bungalow rows in Leclaire, and newer two-stories out toward Governors’ Parkway. Three different lighting problems in one town.

Three Edwardsvilles, three approaches

Edwardsville is the Madison County seat and it does not have one housing stock, it has several. The blocks around Main and St. Louis Street carry tall Victorian and Italianate homes with steep pitches, deep bracketed eaves and porches built to be looked at from the sidewalk. Leclaire, the old planned district on the south side, drops the scale hard: bungalows and craftsman cottages with low, reachable rooflines and short front walks. Push out past SIUE toward the newer subdivisions and you get two-story construction from the 1990s onward, with stacked gables and a two-story entry that wants a plan before anybody opens a ladder.

Those are not the same job priced three ways. The historic fronts need attachment that respects old wood trim and gutters that have been replaced more than once. The Leclaire cottages come in fast and cheap because everything is reachable. The newer builds need the most planning, because a complicated roofline is exactly where a careless run starts to look crooked from the curb.

What that means on the truck

  • Measured before we quote — the roofline is walked and measured, not eyeballed from a photo
  • One color temperature per property, so a warm-white run never sits next to a cool-white one
  • Custom-cut lines for each run rather than stock lengths bunched at the corner
  • Clips chosen for the edge — shingle, gutter or trim, so nothing gets drilled that shouldn’t be
  • Timers set at install, dusk on and late off, and adjusted if you want a different rhythm
A steep Victorian pitch and a Leclaire bungalow eave are not the same climb, and they should not carry the same price.

We cover Edwardsville and the Madison County towns around it all season — install through October and November, repairs whenever a section goes dark, takedown in January, and storage until next year. If you would rather talk it through than fill in a form, call (636) 244-6125 and we will price it from the address.
