Christmas Light Installation in Affton

Brick, and lots of it

Affton is about as St. Louis as housing gets: brick bungalows and small two-storys on tight, well-kept blocks. The rooflines are modest, the lots are close together, and the neighborhoods have been decorating for generations.

Short runs make this efficient work, but they also make it unforgiving — with the house next door twelve feet away, your spacing is directly comparable to somebody else’s.

A complete display on a small front

• Roofline C9s, evenly spaced — the whole job on a bungalow
• Window wreaths with bows, which do a lot on a small elevation
• Porch garland where there is a porch worth dressing
• Netted shrubs across the front bed
• One tree if the yard has room for it
