Christmas Light Installation in Pevely

Hills, and houses that sit up

Pevely climbs the hills above the Mississippi south of the city, a small Jefferson County town where the ground moves constantly and a good many houses sit noticeably above the road. Newer building has filled in around an older centre, so the housing runs from modest and old to gabled and new within a few blocks.

On hill ground the whole front elevation is on show, so we light it as one composition rather than treating the roofline as the entire job. Where the drive climbs, lit markers along it turn the approach into part of the display.

What works here

• One warm-white run, evenly spaced — with nothing competing, restraint reads best
• The porch line picked out — most houses here have one worth showing
• A wrapped tree at the front — doubles the display without touching the house
• Wreaths and garland at the door — the finishing touch, not the whole plan
• Timers and mid-season checks — so it is lit every evening without you thinking about it

Pevely, Herculaneum and Festus are one southbound run for us, so install weeks are grouped and repairs are included. (636) 244-6125.
