Christmas Light Installation in Ste. Genevieve
The oldest permanent settlement in Missouri, with French colonial buildings that deserve careful hands.
Buildings older than the state
Ste. Genevieve is the oldest permanent European settlement in Missouri, and its historic district holds French colonial vertical-log houses that exist almost nowhere else in North America. Around them sit nineteenth-century brick and stone, a walkable centre, and a steady flow of visitors who come specifically to look at buildings.
This is the most careful work we do. Nothing is fastened, nothing is stapled, and nothing goes anywhere near original material — clips fitted to the surface, weight carried on the gutter edge, warm white only, and takedown in January handled with the same attention. Where a building will not take fixings at all, we say so rather than improvising.
What works here
- Clips only, never a fastener — original fascia, trim and slate stay untouched
- A single warm colour temperature — cool white turns old brick grey
- Porches, columns and bay windows outlined — trace what the builder drew
- Dormers and steep peaks cut on site — no stock length stretched across a gable
- Careful January takedown — removed the same way it went up
Commercial and residential work here is scheduled around the town’s own calendar. (636) 244-6125 and we will come and look before quoting anything.
